TOFFEELAB / GUIDE

Counting your baby’s time

Understand days, weeks, calendar months, and the limits of growth references.

Different units for different questions

Elapsed days count date boundaries since birth. A celebration that counts the birth date as day one needs a separate label. Completed months use calendar anniversaries, not a division by thirty.

Corrected age is not a growth-chart rule

Calculating an age adjustment from gestational age is different from determining whether a particular growth reference applies. Development guidance alone does not justify preterm growth percentiles.

A percentile is not a diagnosis

Applying a reference requires sex, measurement date, units, measurement method, and birth context. Numbers must not be invented outside supported ranges. ToffeeLab does not currently provide growth percentile calculations.
